When I first traveled to China at 14, I expected to learn a language.
What I didn’t expect was how much it would change the way I see the world.
Living with a local family, navigating daily life in a new culture, and building relationships across language barriers gave me a level of confidence and global awareness that no classroom could replicate.
That experience is the reason China Immersion Experience exists today.
Our mission is simple: to give students the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, engage deeply with another culture, and return home with a broader perspective and a stronger sense of independence.
Our summer immersion program is designed to balance structured learning with real cultural engagement.

There are different programs for each student. Generally, I speak with families about their requirements and speak to my partner schools about the best fit for their child.
These structured programs offer an introduction to the Chinese language. In the morning, students learn Chinese. Afternoon sessions are excursions into local culture.
These programs are longer in duration. These programs offer more in-depth language and culture learning. Morning sessions are language learning, and afternoon sessions focus on cultural outings.
